SCOTT - MC/Drums/Vocals
Scott’s love for drums began in high school as a member of the orchestra and marching band. Drumming “Greats” like Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Dave Weckle, and Steve Smith, have been a major influence on Scott throughout his career as a drummer.
In the 70s, 80s, and 90s, Scott’s band at the time, The Endless Knights, played over 1100 weddings and events. Phoenixx was born in early 2000 as members of the original Endless Knights moved on to other avenues.
Scott is a walking, talking, fountain of musical knowledge that he enjoys sharing with his audience. He has a talent for reading the audience and steers Phoenixx music in that direction. Scott’s goal is to get people out of their chair and onto the dance floor and keep them there all evening.

Dennis - Bass Guitar/Vocals
Dennis got his start in life in Chicago and grew up in Dolton. After graduating high school in 1970, he became proficient not only in guitar, but also in his guitar of choice, the bass guitar. Inspiration for Dennis came in the guise of The Beatles and the social change of 60’s/70’s rock.
Dennis began his musical journey in 1966, when he formed a local 'garage' band that lasted for about a year. He also played bass and sang vocals in Acoustic Social, Playin Favorites, Church of the Dude, and LCA Soundsystem.
Dennis was part of the Company Band when he helped win a ‘Battle of the Bands’ at Wrigleyville’s, “Cubby Bear Bar”. This event was a fundraiser for Off the Street Club, which is an organization that provides activities for children in underprivileged areas to help keep them off the streets.
Next on his musical journey, Dennis, as a member of LCA Soundsystem, found himself on the main stage at the famous “House of Blues” and “Navy Pier” in Chicago. The band played several events between 2015 and 2019.
Dennis became a member of Phoenixx at his first audition, which was in May, 2024. He was impressive; no matter what songs the guys played, Dennis stepped right in and kept up.
Dennis is very laid-back; he goes with the flow! He fits in perfectly and is a great addition to Phoenixx. When asked if there was anything that has impressed him since he became a member of Phoenixx… [his answer ] ”Love the Harmonies”!

TOM - Acoustic Guitar/Co-Lead Vocals
Tom’s specialty is conquering the exact vocal style of the many artists that he covers. Being the perfectionist that he is, Tom plays the songs as close to the original recordings as possible. He believes that when the audience hears the original version, it takes them back to a time of where they were and who they were with rekindling memories that not only recapture the happy times, but also the melancholy times, of their past. Tom is happiest when he sees the audience dancing and singing to these great oldies of the past!
Tom’s many influences included The Beach Boys, Elvis, The Beatles, The Four Seasons, and many artists of the 1960’s. He was a mere 13 years old when he began his musical journey. His instrument of choice was the guitar. During his high school years, Tom was the lead vocalist in various local bands around town. They played at local Recreation Centers and Sock Hops.
Between the years of 1979 and 2006, Tom’s musical journey led him to an Elvis 50’s/60’s Tribute Band. After that, he formed his own band “The Heartbeats”, which was a 60’s British Invasion Tribute band. The highlights of these bands were playing Chicago Fest (1980/1984); opening for “3 Dog Night” at Ribfest; opening for “Herman’s Hermits” at Celebration Lounge; and opening for “Sam and Dave” at the Nickle Bag.
Between 2006 and 2020, Tom replaced the lead singer in Johnny Star and the Meteors and shortened the name to “The Meteors”. They played just about every large festival and town concerts in the Western suburbs. The highlight for this band included several jobs when “Ronnie Rice” of the “New Colony Six” would sit in with the band. Tom’s next musical road led him to Shindig. Over the years, they played many town festivals and live concert venues in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. Their highlights include playing at Sox Park; Sears Tower (Willis Center); the Morton Arboretum; the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center; and the Joliet Historical Museum.
Tom has continued his musical journey well in to the 2020’s. He has been sitting in with various local area bands while searching for the last stop on his magical, musical journey. That brings us to the present…..Tom, once again, begins a new musical adventure with “PHOENIXX” as co-lead vocalis; and as an extra added bonus, he brings his expertise in sound engineering.
Tom’s Words:
I have been truly blessed to have known and played with so many great musicians, and come to know so many great people and friends in the audience who have come out and supported the bands that I have been a member within my past 60+ years since I started playing, and now a new adventure begins for me in the “PHOENIXX” band.
